The seven-year contract for Midea calls for the development and delivery of 20,000 cold climate packaged window heat pump units – devices that support the city’s move away from natural gas and towards more efficient energy sources.
The design guide was developed in partnership by the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Building Technologies Office, ASHRAE, the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
Multifamily starts are expected to fall 11% this year to 349,000 units from a projected total of 392,000 in 2020. The downturn will be short-lived, as multifamily production is expected to post modest gains in 2022, up 5 percent to 365,000 units.

The acquisition is expected to position The Home Depot as a premier provider in the MRO marketplace.
